The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is a statutory organisation established by the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with the mandate to develop, provide, and maintain airport infrastructure and services across Nigeria, in compliance with the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The FAAN Training School is the dedicated human capital development arm under the Directorate of Human Resources & Administration of FAAN. The School is responsible for building the technical, operational, managerial, and leadership capacities of FAAN personnel, as well as key stakeholders within the Nigerian and international aviation industry.
The FAAN Training School has received global recognition as an Aviation Training Centre by leading international and national aviation bodies, including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Airports Council International (ACI), and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)—the statutory regulator of civil aviation in Nigeria—operating in alignment with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices.
The School is a certified ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Member (Silver), underscoring its compliance with internationally accepted competency-based training methodologies and quality assurance systems. It is also an accredited Aviation Security Training Centre (ASTC), having successfully delivered a wide range of local and international aviation security and industry-related training programmes.
In addition, the FAAN Training School is accredited by the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Nigeria, and has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence for Management and Leadership Training, supporting the development of effective leadership, governance, and organizational performance within the aviation sector and beyond.
Through its structured training programmes, strategic international & local partnerships, and adherence to global best practices, the FAAN Training School remains committed to advancing aviation safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability in Nigeria, the wider African region and globally.
